Tiwanaku Pyramid Tomb Found.

1,300-year-old skeleton buried with a cache of gold artifacts has been found in a Bolivian pyramid, archaeologists say.

The remains are believed to belong to an elite member of the ancient Tiwanaku culture, which thrived on the shores of Lake Titicaca from about A.D. 400 to 1200

This skeleton probably was from the last of the Tiwanaku culture.

Huh?
Wouldn't that make the skeleton some 800 years old, instead of 1,300?
This kind of thing makes me wary straight away!

Sorry, can't help the chuckle. This article says, when you do the math, that this fellow died about 700 AD.

I wouldn't call that "the last of the Tiwanaku culture" . . .

You're right R/S, I didn't explain that very well. There were 4 Tiwanaku cultures. This guy must have died after the decline of the Altiplano civilization.
